The famous snack in movies here in Australia are Jaffas, a hard-coated orange-flavoured chocolate ball (10mm diameter). You would roll jaffas down the aisles.

Mars Pods, Maltesers and Violet Crumble. These are all chocolate-based. Upon reflection, I think we are happy to share a block of chocolate. Aussie chocolate is much better than American chocolate (IMO), so it has a broader appeal.
